Custom Saddles

We have trees and factory tree forms, to place on the horse/mule’s back and check for fit and clearance, at the gullet. The purpose of your tree is to evenly distribute your weight on the animal’s back while riding. To do this it must fit properly, no gapping or daylight showing along the bars. They should fully make contact from front to back and allow for shoulder and hip movement at the ends. A proper fitting saddle will not tip up when cinched. It will not roll over the side while mounting. Mule saddles are very different from horse saddles, the trees for a mule are wider, the bars flatter and there is less rock and twist in the bar due to the mule’s flatter back.
